Cayuga Community College Culinary Institute is thriving and ready for students

Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul praises the placement of the Cayuga Community College Culinary Institute and its location, explaining it will draw people in with everything happening in the Genesee Street area.

Dr. Brian Durant, College President, said that it was really important to celebrate students and have them be the first ones through the door.

The culinary program was set to begin last September but were paused due to the pandemic. Students will begin in the fall.

The institute is the first finished project to be funded by the $10 million DRI fund that was awarded to the city by Cuomo in 2018.
