The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of a Rochester man following an investigation into a crash that happened on July 16 on State Route 318. The driver, who was charged this week left the scene of the crash.

Following investigation, it was determined that a vehicle operated by William Weiman III, 32, of Rochester struck the back of another vehicle operated by Charles Mitchell, 73, of Dansville.

The collision caused the vehicle being operated by Mitchell to strike the rear of a vehicle operated by Laurel Sweeny, 67, of Palmyra.

He’s scheduled to appear at a later date in local court.
