Deputies: Farmington teen charged with aggravated DWI after colliding with mailboxes, splitting utility pole in half

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Farmington teen on DWI charges following a single-vehicle crash on Bowerman Road in the area of Barberry Lane.

It happened around 4:41 a.m. on Saturday, according to deputies, who investigated the crash.

Tyson Dailey, 19, of Farmington is said to have driven off the road, striking multiple mailboxes, then striking a utility pole- splitting it in half.

According to deputies, it was discovered that Dailey was intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, moving from lane unsafely, as well as a charge related to possessing a forged driver’s license.

He will return to court at a later date to answer the charges.
