On Thursday there was a complaint near the village in Homer on Route 90.
The call was in reference to some runaway sheep.
16 sheep in total were caught by New York State Police with the help of the Homer Police Department, Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and workers from the Glenwood Cemetery.
The sheep escaped from a trailer and came down the off ramp of I-81.
The sheep would up at a residence on Route 90 and were safely corralled and brought back to the trailer.
