Canandaigua Arts and Music Festival is happening this weekend

Canandaigua Arts and Music Festival will run Friday through Sunday, July 16 through 18.

Vendor booths have more room and are ten feet apart to help with Covid-19 safety.

Artists present will have their work featuring ceramics, pottery, stoneware, photography, paintings, abstract art, clothing for children and adults, hand-woven baskets, handmade leather handbags, tie dye, glassware, lavender products, jewelry, candles, soaps and woodworking for sale.

Gourmet food and beverages, including wine slushies, will be available.


Artist demonstrations will include glass flameworking, candle making, and pottery making and painting.

The Golden Palette Art Trail will also be back, allowing attendees to grab a free passport and map at any shop with a golden palette near its entrance to follow the trail to all the Golden Palette shops.

The locations of golden palettes will have special events and activities, original art, classes and demonstrations, services and unique gift items.

Anyone that completes the trail may be entered to win one of three available gift baskets worth more than $1,500.

Live music includes artists like The Pete Griffith Duo, Old Hippies, Womba Africa, Feedback, The Fog, Inner Crazy, The Movers, Thurlow, Chris and Korie, and Mitty and the Followers.

Island Wraps, FLX BBQ, Rochester Kettle Corn, Proia’s Hot Dog Cart, Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream and Green Mountain Concessions will be selling food along Main Street and local restaurants and breweries will also be available for food.

Free municipal parking lots are located throughout the city off West Avenue, Ontario Street, Mill Street, Antis Street and Bristol Street.
