The Ironman 70.3 Musselman weekend is coming up in Ontario and Seneca Counties.
What was once an event run locally, is now run by Ironman, a division of Chinese conglomerate Wanda Sports Group.
The company runs 230 events in 53 different countries with road cycling races, mountain bike races, running events, and other multisport races in addition to triathlons. This will be the first year the event is run by Ironman.
Musselman began in 2004 and was run locally before being sold to a company in Buffalo. Last year’s race was cancelled due to the pandemic.
