A new exhibition this weekend will open at Corning Museum of Glass, featuring glass and wine.
The exhibit is called “Fire and Vine: The Story of Glass and Wine.” The exhibit will cover art, history, and science surrounding the connections between the glasses on people’s tables and the wine that fills them.
The goal of this exhibition is to connect two of the Finger Lakes Region’s biggest historical things; glass making and wine making.
The museum worked with local wineries, Dr. Konstantin Frank Wine Winery and Pleasant Valley Wine Company to make this possible.
The exhibition will have various activities, like the “Make Your Own Glass” grape activity for people ages 10 and up through September 30.
The museum’s Hot Glass Demo Team will be hosting livestreamed demonstrations every other Thursday that connect to the two current summer exhibitions, Fire & Vine and In Sparkling Company.
The exhibition is scheduled to open Saturday, July 3 and remain open through 2022.
