Covid causes shortages in Fireworks

A shortage of fireworks are causing the prices to rise and people to stock up before the 4th of July.

Covid has created many shortages due to the way they’re manufactured and shipped, and Fireworks companies are feeling the results.

Sky King Fireworks, in Tioga, Pennsylvania is a national retailer and with 5 stores in 20 states, their supply was becoming depleted. While their supply is getting better along with Covid, workforce issues are slowing down the shipments from coming overseas.

The shortages are happening because the manpower to load and unload shipments is not available, and the containers at the ports where boat sits could be there for up to two weeks.

Fireworks are also deemed dangerous goods, causing a limitation on how much can be shipped all at once.
