Are you more than ready for a 4th of July celebration? The Village of Fairport, Town of Perinton, Wegmans, and the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce are!
This year’s celebration will be held on Saturday, July 3, including the traditional Firecracker Five-Mile Run (5K) and the parade. Unfortunately, the Party-in-the-Park will have to wait until 2022.
The Firecracker 5K begins at 8:00 am at the top of O’Connor Road, at the intersection of Whitney Road. The race will proceed east on Whitney Road, south on Barnum Street, east on Parce Avenue, south on Main Street, turning west at the LiftBridge, proceeding along the canal to the finish at Perinton Park. On Saturday, July 3rd, an alternative parade route and staging area have been planned. The parade will form at 9:30am on the corner of Potter Place and Hulburt Road. Both Johanna Perrin School and Minerva Deland School will be used for staging, including Hulbert Road. At 10:00 am, the parade will proceed north on Potter Place, turn west on West Church Street and end at Perinton Park.
