Virtual Jolly Roger 5K to be presented again by the Palmyra Macedon Select Choir

The 11th annual virtual Jolly Roger 5K will be presented by the Palmyra-Macedon Select Choir this year.

To support the choir participants can run, jog, or walk 5k, or 3.1 miles, anywhere they want up to a week before or on the date of the race.

Steps are easy; sign up, complete the 5k, and submit the time to be eligible for medals in both overall and age-group winner categories.

Registration is $30 and the times have to entered by 11:59 on August 8, 2021 in order to win awards.

The choir being celebrated is comprised of 32 Palmyra-Macedon High School students between 10th and 12th grade. Proceeds will support travel for the choir both internationally and domestically, including many local opportunities.

While the group has traveled to many amazing places to perform over the years, including Carnegie Hall twice, this year’s Choir has been invited to sing next year in New York City.

Participants who register before July 10th will received a Jolly Roger 5K commemorative 11th anniversary t-shirt. Anyone who finishes with a recorded time will receive an11th anniversary pirate-themed medal. Race items can be picked up, mailed for a small fee, or can be opted out of so the fee just goes to support the choir.
