The Auburn Public Theater will house a three day long training in implicit bias next week.
The Auburn Human Rights Commission, along with the Harriet Tubman Center for Justice & Peace and other local social justice organizations will be sponsoring the training.
The training will happen Monday through Wednesday June 21-23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Main Stage auditorium of the theater, 8 Exchange St., in Auburn.
One of the presenters will be chief diversity officer at Finger Lakes Community College, Dr. Sim Covington.
There will be an hour for lunch each day with complimentary pizza and refreshments.
The training has room for 40 participants many of which will include city staff, the police and fire departments and Auburn school district staff. It will also be open to the public.
