The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a 26-year-old following an incident at Jefferson Park where a gun was displayed.
That gun turned out to be a BB-gun, but 26-year-old William Tebbutt, of Canandaigua was taken into custody for menacing and endangering the welfare of a child.
The incident unfolded at Jefferson Park, according to police, who say that he displayed what appeared to be a pistol and made physical threats to harm multiple people- including a child under 17.
The weapon displayed was located in his possession and determined to be a BB gun.
