Police say a 42-year-old Canandaigua resident was taken into custody after breaking in to another person’s home in the city.
July Strickland, 42, was charged with criminal trespass, criminal mischief, and harassment after officers responded to a disturbance call on South Main Street.
Upon arrival, officers determined that Strickland entered the apartment of another person without their permission. She then had physical contact with them and prevented them from calling 911.
Strickland was turned over to the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
