Authorities say a Penn Yan man was taken into custody on a superior court warrant following an investigation into sexual abuse that happened in Yates County.
Matthew Ryder, 25, of Penn Yan is accused of subjecting two children under the age of 11 to sexual contact.
He was charged with three felony counts of sexual abuse.
The charges will be answered at a later date. After being taken into custody, Ryder was transported to the Yates County Jail in lieu of bail.
