According to the Seneca Falls Police Department, Smith damaged property, which belonged to another individual during the altercation- then struck the person, identified as the victim in the press release.

Police said the entire incident unfolded in the presence of a child under the age of 17.

Smith also had an active warrant for violating probation. He was transported to the Seneca County Jail and will answer the charges at a later date.
