Police say it will be up to the Geneva City School District if charges will be pressed against the students responsible for racist graffiti and damage to the West Elementary School.
In May police found a damaged window and racist carvings into the on-site playground.
Superintendent Patricia Garcia told the Finger Lakes Times they are deeply disappointed by the incident. She called it unacceptable, but did not clarify whether the district would press forward with charges against the minors.
It’s unclear at this point how much the damage cost the district.
