For the last several years there’s been a slow, but steady push toward electric vehicles.
One common question: What happens if you run out of charge?
That’s because there aren’t a ton of charging stations, which makes the prospect of running out of juice a tad concerning for motorists in more rural parts of the state.
The answer is a unit that allows for a roadside charge, so that the interaction can be the same as running out of gas. According to News10NBC AAA is teaming up with a company to deploy three mobile charging units to help drivers from Buffalo to Rochester, and Syracuse.
They are called Roadie units and are made by SparkCharge.
That technology, like charging stations, are expected to become more common as the push toward electric vehicles picks up steam.
