Arrest is made in connection to Ithaca shooting last week

An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting that occurred on May 26 in Ithaca.

On June 3, 2021, around 12:30 p.m. Ithaca Police Officers responded to the area of the Seneca Street Parking Garage to attempt to locate the shooting suspect from May 26 that happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Hudson Place. Officers located a male matching the shooters description. The identification of the suspect was verified.


The suspect was taken into custody and arraigned on charges related to the shooting from May 26. The charges are: Reckless Endangerment in the 1st degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. The suspect was found to have additional warrants that he was also arrested on involving a charge for Burglary in the 3rd degree and a violation of probation warrant.

The defendant was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail on a $5,000/$10,000 bail.
