There’s a strong likelihood that Gov. Andrew Cuomo is running for another term next year.
The latest indication, despite multiple investigations by state and federal entities, is a pricy fundraiser that’s taking place later this month.
One taking place on June 29 costs $10,000 per person, or $15,000 for two tickets.
However, some reporting indicates that the funds could be used to fight those legal battles. Cuomo is being represented in a personal capacity by attorney Rita Glavin.
The big challenge for Cuomo will be a primary: He has faced challenges in past years- but now with allegations of sexual harassment swirling, as well as concerns about his handling of nursing home deaths during the pandemic- this time could be different.
That said, polling shows that the Governor still fares well against Republicans out of the existing field of candidates.
