There are going to be some changes coming to the Yates County District Attorney’s Office.
During a special session late last week the Legislature approved increasing the salary for the first assistant DA and changing another position from part- to full-time.
Both were requested by DA Todd Casella.
He requested the change after his first assistant accepted a job in Ontario County, which brought significantly higher pay to the table.
The new full-time position will have a total cost between $89,000 and $102,000.
