State police: Motorcyclist critically injured after being ejected during crash

State police say one person is listed in critical condition after a motorcycle crash in Jefferson County.

On Sunday around 6:08 p.m. State Police responded to a motorcycle crash that occurred on County Route 22 in the town of Antwerp.

The investigation has determined a 2021 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Joseph W. Barlow, 24, of Potsdam was traveling east on County Route 22 at an unsafe speed when he exited the roadway and struck a post and fence.

Barlow was ejected from the bike and then struck a piece of stationary farm equipment.

Barlow was airlifted by LifeNet to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse and was listed in critical condition.

The investigation is continuing.
