Non-profit agencies in NYS are dealing with unique issues as a result of the pandemic.
Brad Walworth, Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services Communications Manager shared that agencies like CARS are dealing with similar issues.
Walworth spoke with Finger Lakes Daily News and shared that CARS, along with other non-profits, are struggling to find employees.
“Non-profits seem to be hit particularly hard because generally we have employees that cover multiple positions within a nonprofit agency,” Walworth said.
Federal unemployment benefits along with higher salaries at for-profit businesses are making it more difficult to bring back and hire qualified care workers for non-profits.
