The Yankees are reinstating Rougned Odor from the paternity leave list and placing Ryan LaMarre on the 10-day IL with a right hamstring strain.
LaMarre suffered the injury in Wednesday’s win over the Texas Rangers while trying to beat out an infield hit. He pulled up short of first base and was taken out of the game after showing clear pain in the sprint.
Odor missed just one game after welcoming a new baby girl to his family early Wednesday morning. He played on Tuesday with a 2-for-5 performance at the plate against his former team.
Odor will slot into the cleanup spot in the lineup with the start at second base.
Frazier will get closer look at neck issue in NY
Clint Frazier is still dealing with his neck issue that has kept him out of the lineup.
“He’s doing alright, still just stiffness in that neck and just want to get back to New York and see what we’re dealing with. Hopefully get some better news on that,” Boone said during pre-game remarks.
“We’re running him through battery stuff now. We’ll see what we have when we get back to New York and what we get with Dr. Ahmad and everything.”
