The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Sodus man on number of charges- including assault and criminal possession of a weapon after an incident that happened on Saturday in Williamson.
Deputies were called to Ridge Rd. In the town of Williamson where Timothy Valentine, 35, of Sodus is accused of striking another person several times with a hammer.
The incident occurred in the presence of his children and nephew, which resulted in additional charges.
Deputies say the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Valentine was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
