The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Macedon man on assault and other charges after an investigation into a domestic incident.
Deputies say Eric Gonzalez, 29, of Macedon is accused of striking another person, then taking the victim’s phone when they tried to call for help.
When deputies arrived and attempted to take Gonzalez into custody- he head-butted an officer, physically obstructing being taken into custody.
The deputy was not injured, but Gonzalez was charged with assault, criminal mischief, and obstructing governmental administration.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
