Deputies arrested a Savannah man following a traffic stop after investigation revealed that the vehicle he was in had been stolen in Buffalo.
Christopher Peay, 23, was arrested after a traffic stop on Daboll Rd. in Galen. According to deputies, he was observed speeding on Rt. 31.
Deputies discovered that the vehicle had been stolen in the city of Buffalo. It was stolen during a car-jacking that occurred in December.
As result, Peay was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and criminal possession of stolen property.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
