The submission deadline for renaming the Auburn High School is coming up.
The Auburn Enlarged City School District Board of Education passed a resolution at a meeting on April 13 establishing the guidelines for nominations of the existing Auburn high school building.
Students are advocating for Harriet Tubman, but Superintendent Jeff Pirozzolo says the advisory panel will face a tough decision.
He recently spoke with Finger Lakes News Radio about the process, as well as some of the names that have been floated.
Nominations must be submitted in writing via email or mail to 78 Thornton Avenue, Auburn, NY 13021 prior to 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday.
