The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that around 8% of Americans haven’t returned for their second dose of the COVID vaccine.
How accurate is that, though?
Well, the data may be accurate enough to give a general sense that some people aren’t returning for their vaccine shots- but new information puts a slightly more reassuring twist on it.
Health experts say that people simply rescheduling appointments, or not knowing about the second dose is a real problem. There could also be issues with reporting of those who got doses at different locations.
At this point, the state says approximately 35% of the population has been vaccinated in New York.
