Prior to Friday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies, the Mets placed infielder Luis Guillorme on the 10-day injured list with a right oblique strain, retroactive to April 29.
To take Guillorme’s spot on the 26-man roster, infielder Jose Peraza has been recalled from the alternate training site and will be active for Friday’s game.
The 26-year-old Guillorme has appeared in 14 games for the Mets this season. While his glove has been as good as always, Guillorme has also impressed with the bat when called upon, slashing .333/.478/.333 with five walks and two runs scored.
