Deputies: Newark driver charged with aggravated DWI after head-on crash along Rt. 104

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Newark man following a two-car crash on Rt. 104 in the town of Sodus.

James Prebola, 31, of Newark was charged with driving while intoxicated after deputies were dispatched to the crash where it was found he was westbound, and crossed over into the eastbound lane- hitting another vehicle head-on.

Luckily no injuries were reported in the crash. However, deputies said Prebola was found to have a BAC over 0.18%.

He was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, and failure to stay right.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
