Farmington man faces felony charges after domestic incident involving ex-girlfriend

Deputies say a Farmington man was arrested upon his release from the Ontario County Jail on Thursday.

The arrest stems from a domestic incident that occurred in Wayne County on an earlier date.

Joshua Rivera, 27, of Farmington was charged with two counts of felony criminal contempt, criminal mischief, and aggravated family offense- also as a felony.

The charges stem from an incident where Rivera punched and kicked the door of his ex-girlfriend’s house- and broke a window.

There were three witnesses to the incident.

He was arraigned and will answer the charges at a later date. One of the witnesses and the victim have court orders against him.
