Former New York attorney general Schneiderman surrenders law license for year

Former New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has surrendered his law license for a year.

He left office in 2018 amid accusations that he choked and slapped women. Schneiderman said in the past that he accepted full responsibility for his actions.

As part of the agreement, Schneiderman will continue receiving mental health treatment and will be supervised by the New York City Bar Lawyer Assistance Program.

No other details about the agreement were available.
