The Dundee woman accused of second-degree murder in connection with the death of her 16-month-old son in 2002 could face trial as soon as June 1.
Kelly Anderson is set to head to trial at the start of June, after pre-trial motions were argued this week in Yates County Court.
Her son, Ethan Eslick, a 16-month-old baby at the time was found dead at her home.
There was an intense investigation at the time, but the Yates County Sheriff’s office was unable to make any arrests.
That said, new leads were developed in 2018, which resulted in the second-degree murder charge. The new leads were developed through a collaborative investigation between the sheriff’s office, New York State Police, and FBI.
The trial itself could last weeks.
