Sam Reinhart scores two goals as Sabres top Penguins, 4-2

The Buffalo Sabres led the whole way Sunday afternoon in their 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins at KeyBank Center.

Sam Reinhart scored twice while Arttu Ruotsalainen and Rasmus Asplund also tallied. Dustin Tokarski stopped 34 shots.

Victor Olofsson and Rasmus Dahlin each recorded a pair of assists.

Ruostalainen’s opening goal snapped Casey DeSmith’s shutout streak against the Sabres at 180:18, a streak that stretched back to the 2018-19 season.

Jason Zucker and Teddy Blueger scored for Pittsburgh. DeSmith made 25 saves.

Buffalo’s power play went 1-for-2 and the team finished 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.
