The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Waterloo woman following a welfare fraud investigation.
Victoria Scharett, 31, of Waterloo was charged with fourth-degree welfare fraud, misuse of food stamps, and offering a false instrument for filing- all of which are felonies.
Deputies say Scharett was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges in local court at a later date.
