State police in Pennsylvania arrested two Auburn men following a pursuit and drug investigation.
Nicholas Neville, 31, and Merritt Fletcher, 30, both of Auburn were pulled over on I-80. It happened on Wednesday near the New Jersey and Pennsylvania border.
Police say they consented to a search of the vehicle. However, before another officer could arrive to execute the search- the two took off.
During the pursuit drugs were tossed out the window. At this point, police believe the drugs were controlled substances.
The pursuit ended with a crash- after the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll-over multiple times about 20 miles down I-80.
Both were hospitalized with injuries from the crash, and later charged with two felonies- including manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver controlled substance, and attempting to elude a police officer. There were a number of misdemeanors also filed against the two, who were held on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 secured bond.
Their next court appearance is scheduled for April 20.
