It’s been open for weeks, but Dicks Sporting Goods officially held its grand opening weekend in Victor.
The flagship store dubbed the House of Sport has drawn massive crowds from all over the U.S.
It’s a massive, 100,000 square foot facility that goes way beyond retail.
“Retail is moving towards experience and deep integration with the community,” House of Sport Executive Director Meaghan Reyes said. It’s not just about buying things, it’s about being a place for the community.
There is the extensive indoor offerings- including batting cages and golf bays, but also the sprawling outdoor practice facility. Officials with DSG hope that it can be used by the community down the road.
