On Sunday around 4 a.m. deputies responded to State Rt. 14 in Phelps for the report of personal injury crash.
The crash involved a vehicle colliding into a tree near 2373 State Rt. 14. Deputies determined that the vehicle was traveling south when it veered off the road to the west- striking and coming to rest against a tree.
The two people inside the vehicle, identified as Marissa Fedele, 22, of Waterloo, and a 22-year-old from Geneva, suffered injuries that required treatment at a local hospital.
Deputies say at conclusion of the investigation, Fedele was issued tickets for driving while intoxicated and a seat belt violation.
She will answer the charges at a later date in local court.
