Deputies: Phelps man charged with grand larceny after stealing, pawning catalytic converters

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Phelps man following a grand larceny investigation.

Deputies say that Michael Heidemann, 37, of Phelps was charged with grand larceny.


He’s accused of stealing and pawning multiple catalytic converters between October and January.

The total value of the converters was $14,535, according to deputies.

Heidemann was taken into custody and will answer the charges at a later date.
