Lawmakers have reached a deal for legalizing recreational marijuana in New York.
Reports began circulating Wednesday afternoon and evening that legislative leaders negotiated the details- including a sales tax of 13% with 4% of it going to local municipalities.
The deal would allow anyone who is 21 or older to purchase marijuana for recreational use- like alcohol.
It could generate upwards of $350 million in tax revenue.
