Deputies say a child is safe after an incident last week on Rubin Dr. in Yates County.
Ashley Johnston, 37, of Rushville was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after her 3-year-old child was found outside around 9 a.m.
The child was unaccompanied an did not have appropriate clothing to be outdoors.
Deputies say Johnston was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge at a later date.
