Deputies: Inmate sets off sprinkler, flooding cell at Seneca County Jail

Deputies say a cell flooded at the Seneca County Jail after an inmate damaged a sprinkler head.

Timothy Brown, 35, who is currently an inmate at the jail is accused of damaging that sprinkler head, which was located in his cell around 1 a.m. on March 17.

Deputies say his cell flooded and the fire alarm went off. It prompted an emergency response from the Romulus Fire Department.

There was no fire at the cell. He was charged with falsely reporting an incident and criminal mischief.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
