Leaders in the Finger Lakes region say that COVID vaccinations could be finished by the end of June.
That news came from an update out of the regional control room, led by Monroe County Executive Adam Bello and Public Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza. The Finger Lakes region includes Ontario, Seneca, Yates, and Wayne counties in our viewing area.
Around 30% of those eligible will have been vaccinated by the end of this week, according to the group who held a virtual event on Thursday.
Officials in Seneca County were working hard on Thursday to get the final slots filled for a vaccination clinic scheduled for service workers and those over the age of 60. It’s scheduled for Friday.
