Police reform plan approved, sent to Albany by Ontario County Board of Supervisors

The Ontario County Board of Supervisors endorsed the Sheriff’s Office’s police reform and reinvention plan.

Those plans were due to the state by April 1, per an order last year by Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

It includes updates to policies on use of force, standards of conduct, community relations, and implicit bias training.

Officials said they were satisfied with the outcome, as well as input from the public in the draft process.
