The Ontario County Humane Society is investigating a possible hit-and-run accident involving a dog.
They say they responded to West Main St. in Shortsville on Sunday around 4 p.m. for the report of a dog, which appeared to be injured.
Upon investigation it was determined that the dog was potentially struck by a vehicle.
At this point, the pit bull is being treated at a local vet. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office at 585-394-4560.
