The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of two men following an investigation into a stolen check.
The check was stolen from a business in the town of Hopewell.
It was forged and cashed in the city of Geneva, deputies said.
Donald Lume, 50, of Canandaigua and Brandon Gedney, 25, of Victor were both charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Both of the charges are felonies.
They were taken to the Ontario County Jail and held without bail.
