A Sennett man faces an attempted murder charge after an incident during the overnight hours on Saturday.
Police responded to Auburn Community Hospital late-Saturday when a 28-year-old was dropped off at the emergency room with multiple stab wounds.
While the victim was not identified by police on Sunday, it was reported that the individual was transported to Upstate University Hospital for additional treatment.
The incident happened in the city of Auburn around Grover and Steel streets.
Jeffrey Murray Jr., 22, of Sennett was located on Grant Avenue before being taken into custody. At this point, he’s been charged with second-degree attempted murder and second-degree assault.
Police said that Murray is also facing charges stemming from an incident that occurred the night before. The charges there included endangering the welfare of a child- and fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.
The investigation remains active. Anyone with information is asked to call 315-567-0073.
