A popular Canandaigua restaurant will have to be rebuilt after a devastating fire.
Firefighters were called to the Eastside Grill and Pub in Canandaigua for an overnight fire. Sean Rohrback, who spoke with 13WHAM-TV, said that by the time he arrived to his parents’ restaurant- multiple fire trucks were on-scene.
“By the time I got here, probably 10 firetrucks out here- and credit to those guys for being as quick as they were,” he told 13WHAM. “They were able to contain it as much as they could to the kitchen.”
He says the family is looking at ways to rebuild.
For now, the family is also focusing on staying positive. “Obviously this is a tragedy that no one could have expected or planned for, but we got to just control what we can control- and right now it’s how we can get back,” he added.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
