Felony charges for Romulus suspect in violent domestic incident, victim treated at Strong Hospital

Deputies arrested a 45-year-old Romulus man on a felony warrant following an investigation into a domestic incident that happened in Varick.

Arrell Henhawk, 45, of Romulus was charged with second-degree menacing, second-degree assault, second-degree strangulation- all as felonies. He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal obstruction of breathing, unlawful imprisonment, and criminal possession of a weapon.

The victim was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of their serious injuries and released.

Henhawk is scheduled to appear at a later date to answer the charges.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Cornell University Police Department and the Ithaca Police Department for their assistance in the safe arrest of Henhawk.

That investigation remains active at this time.
