Steuben County woman charged with manslaughter after running over boyfriend

A 29-year-old was arraigned on manslaughter charges, as well as a slew of others after running over her boyfriend with a car.

The Addison-area resident, identified as Brittany Carlson, was second-degree manslaughter and second-degree vehicular manslaughter. She was also charged with reckless driving and DWI.

She’s accused of running over her boyfriend Nicholas Tracy, 31, of Addison.

“We know she was drunk, that she hit a pedestrian in the roadway and that she was driving the car,” Steuben County District Attorney Brooks Baker told the Star-Gazette. “There are a number of things (investigators) are still doing to determine what was going on. It does appear there was an argument between the two of them.”

The incident took place around 1:46 a.m. near County Route 85.
